Bogus Sales People in the area

Bogus Sales People in the area

Good Morning,

We have been made aware by several residents across West Lancashire of bogus sales people approaching addresses and trying to sell goods or offer their services. Whilst this is not a criminal offence in itself, we realise this may cause you alarm and distress. All instances of this can be reported to police on 101 or 999 as appropriate. We would advise you not to answer the door to such people, do not engage with them and to encourage neighbours not to engage either. If you can pass a description of the person and any vehicle they are in, this would assist officers with locating and advising these people about their conduct.

Many thanks,

West Lancashire Neighbourhood Team
