You don’t need previous firefighting experience to become an on-call firefighter. 

We’ll provide the training you need to respond to emergencies and support your local community.

Join a crew, learn new skills and do something different – while fitting the role around your existing work and commitments.

As an on-call firefighter, you’ll receive a £4,255.36 yearly retainer, based on a fully competent firefighter providing 60 hours of cover per week, plus additional payments for attending incidents.
