Theft from Vehicles

We have received numerous reports of theft from vehicles overnight on Thursday 24/09 into the morning of Friday 25/09.

These offences have been reported on Harwood Avenue, Dover Road, Clarendon Road, Lowton Road and Margate Road in St Annes.

The exact time of these offences is not known.

Fylde Rural Task Force have been out today conducting CCTV enquiries to try and identify those involved.

Whilst conducting these enquiries, we have been made aware of further theft from vehicles which have not been reported to us.

We would like to reiterate the importance of reporting these incidents to us. Your reports allow us to identify when and where these offences are happening so we can then direct our resources to these areas.

We would like to provide you with the following crime prevention advice to ensure your vehicle and belongings are kept safe:

Check your vehicles are locked and secure when not in use

Ensure all valuables are removed from your vehicle when not in use

Keep CCTV and doorbell cameras fully charged and check your footage regularly

Park your vehicle in sight of CCTV where possible

Consider installing flood lights where possible to deter criminals

Consider the use of steering wheel locks

Report any ongoing suspicious activity or offences immediately via 999
