Our on-call firefighters play a vital role in protecting their local communities, responding to emergencies while fitting the role around their everyday lives.

You don’t need any previous firefighting experience – full training is provided.

As an on-call firefighter, you’ll receive:

✓ A yearly retainer, plus additional payments for call outs
✓ A firefighter pension
✓ Flexible hours that can fit around your existing work and commitments
✓ Full training and the opportunity to develop new skills

You’ll need to live or work within the required distance of an on-call fire station.
