Good morning,

Over this last week we have received several reports from residents regarding a male in the area checking car doors in the early hours. On two occasions the offender has gained entry to the car as it has been left unlocked. This has been happening around 03:30-04:30 and on one occasion the male has been chased off by a resident.

We realise this is a random problem, but in the past, residents have reported this happening at the time, and the offenders have been caught.

This message is to make you aware that you need to ensure your car is locked when leaving it unattended, and to remove any valuables (wallets, purses, laptops etc) from the vehicle. These simple checks could prevent you from becoming a vehicle crime victim.
