This message comes to you as we have received complaints regarding the fireworks being set off in the are late at night, especially as part of celebrations. 

Anti-social use of fireworks can cause distress to residents, frighten pets, and pose a risk to public safety. Fireworks should only be used responsibly, in appropriate locations, and at permitted times 7am - 11pm. If you witness anti-social behaviour involving fireworks, please report it to the police or your local authority in order for relevant action to take place. 

Unfortunately with such instances, we all see the effects and hear the sounds far and wide but often unable to pin point the location or person setting off the fireworks which makes it difficult for enforcement action.  If you are aware of the culprits please report to the relevant authorities so they can be held accountable.
