Lighting In lighter months, the sun sets a lot later meaning it is easier to spot anyone lurking around. In darker months, outdoor lighting can stop any opportunistic thieves.
CCTV/Camera Putting CCTV/Cameras up outside your property can be a great deterrent from anyone looking to break in.
Lock Up and Look Out. Before you plan on going out/going to bed, make sure all doors and windows are locked. Whilst in summer months, it might be tempting to leave a window wide open, this can create opportunities for thieves looking to gain entry.
Dial 999/101. If you see anything suspicious, dial 101. Alternatively, if your life is in danger or the crime is happening now, then dial 999.
