Nuisance Off-Road Bikes and Illegal E-Bikes

We are seeing an increase in the use of nuisance bikes, including Sur-Ron style electric motorbikes and illegally modified or de-restricted e-bikes, being ridden on pavements, parks, footpaths and public spaces. We believe the rise in the use of these bikes is likely due to the nice weather conditions.

These bikes can reach high speeds, often operate silently, and are sometimes ridden without helmets, insurance or registration. The misuse can put pedestrians, cyclists, children and other road users at serious risk.
