For a police officer, our uniform is the thing that sets us a part from the crowd and offers us protection when we need it.
But the boots, hats and hi-vis you see today were not always the uniform we rocked! In an upcoming talk at our Lancashire Police Museum, Dr Steph Wallace and Dr Camilla De Camargo of Lancaster University will be diving deep into the history of police uniform over the years, for both male and female officers.
