Vehicle interference

Hello Resident,

You may have noticed a small increase in officer presence this morning. I am writing to provide you with an update regarding an incident that occurred in the early hours of the day.

It was reported to us that a male was trying car door handles in the area before being disrupted by a member of the community. An off-duty officer detained the male until on-duty officers arrived at the scene and arrested him on suspicion of interfering with a motor vehicle. The male remains in custody while a file is being prepared, and he is awaiting interview. A further update will be provided in due course.

Thankfully, there have been no reports of items stolen within vehicles, as those involved left their vehicles locked and secured.
