Childrens Festival - Churchtown : Sat 23 May 13:01

Good evening,

Just a quick reminder of the Childrens Festival Saturday 23rd May from 1PM.

The Avenue road will be closed from 1Pm with local diversions in place whilst the Procession takes place.

Local Wyre Neighbourhood Police will be at the event conducting engagement and on hand to help the day go smoothly and safely.

Join us on Saturday 23rd May 2026 for this year’s Churchtown and District Children’s Whitsuntide Festival. Fun and games on the field all afternoon. Procession with live bands and our new Festival Queen begins at 1pm. 

It’s free for all to come – so come along and have some fun!

Running order

13:00-13:30 Procession from Kirkland Memorial Hall to St Helen’s Church

13:30-14:15 Church Service and return to Kirkland Memorial Hall

14:15-14:30 Crowning of the new Festival Queen

14:30-17:00 Prize Giving and activities on the field

18:30-22:30 Children’s Disco with Fish & Chip Supper (order separately)

Neighbourhood Officer will be engaging with future Mini Police cadets with some mini uniforms and also helping those that are not on Lancashire Talking become part of In the Know as you are.
