Bold Venture Park fires

Good Afternoon Resident,

Sadly whilst people were out celebrating Bonfire night yesterday evening/night ,a group of youths have removed a wheelie bin from the local area and taken it to the play area of Bold Venture  park and proceeded to set it alight ,this has placed further strains on the already stretched emergency services on the night,this happened on 2 occasions within a short period of time .

The local Neighbourhood Policing team have been working with the fire service to try and reduce the risk of these incidents taking place and we also link in with the local youth zone who provide diversionary activities with their bus that has been kitted out to keep the youths in the area interested in other things ,rather than causing damage to the park and residents property .

We have increased our patrols in the area in the run up to Bonfire night ,after concerns were raised by the local park group and we will continue to patrol during the evenings .
