More Illegal Tobacco and Vapes Seized

Hello Resident,

Following on from Mondays tobacco and vape seizures we have once again been out and about with Trading Standards completing test purchasing in Chorley. We visited 5 shops in total and are pleased to say 3 have passed the test purchase however 2 have failed. 

As a result the two shops who failed have received appropriate action from Trading Standards. While we were at one of the shops a large quantity of illegal cigarettes, tobacco and vapes have been seized worth approximately £5000.  While we were there officers also noticed canisters of Nitrous Oxide which has also been seized as it is now classed as a Class C drug. 

We will continue to disrupt these shops within Chorley and this behaviour will not be tolerated. Stay tuned for more updates.
