South Ribble neighbourhood team would like to give our communities an update from our weekend events:

On Sunday 25th May there was a large music event held at Worden Park in Leyland called Music in the Park and was a ticket only event.

A high volume of people attended this event but it ran smoothly thanks to our officers and the site security, other than a few incidents which our excellent Special Constables dealt with alongside our local police team. 

They seized an e-bike being ridden around in an anti-social manner throughout the park and posing a danger to others, they also searched a few youths which resulted in cannabis being located and seized from them.

A group of youths thought it would be funny to deflate the tyres on a police vehicle - taking it off the road for two hours to repair - the youths were caught after a short foot chase and dealt with accordingly!

Once again our local NPT team want to thanks the Special Constables who give up their weekends to work for free and most of them have full time jobs they are a credit to the constabulary.
