This week is the national week long operation which targets knife and weapon crime.

This week Officers will be carrying out the following activity.

🚔 Weapons Sweeps

🚔 Educational inputs

🚔 Targeted visits

🚔  Other proactive targeting.

If you aren't aware the law changed in 2019 to make it illegal to possess certain weapons even in a private place.

Knives and weapons can be surrendered in the knife bins at

📍 Moss Side Community centre

📍 Leyland Police Station

📍 The BASE, Broadfield, Leyland

📍 Chorley Police Station

📍 Kingsfold Community centre

Alternatively if you have weapons you wish to surrender and struggle to get to the above locations then you can email 7566@lancashire.police.uk and we will arrange for the items to be collected.
