Dear Resident

You may have been aware of a disturbance in Whalley this morning with a truculent male on George Street. A male was swiftly arrested for public order offences and is currently in our care whilst the substances clouding his judgement wear off. 

Contrary to the rumours we heard at the scene the male is nothing to do with the hospital located near Whalley and lives elsewhere in the county.

Apologies also for anyone who tried to use the crossing during this time as some confusion in the mele meant the keys went with an officer to custody so it took us a bit to get it moved to a safe location.

Thankfully peace and harmony is now restored :-)
