We are urging residents and visitors in the Accrington to vigilant following a rise in vehicle-related crimes.

Incidents have included theft from vehicles, attempted break-in and vandalism.

What you can do:

1 Always lock your vehicles and double-check it's secure.

2 Remove all valuables from your car, especially in plain sight ( sat nav, bags,laptop,etc.)

Park in well-litt, area where it possible busy area or secure car parks whenever possible.

report any suspicious behaviour to Lancashire Police immediately.
