Good evening,
We have received reports over recent weeks regarding inconsiderate parking and dangerous parking - this is on estates, main roads, outside of people's houses/ driveways and outside schools.
We appreciate some estates/ cul de sacs can be tight for parking - if you park opposite someone's house, make sure to not cause an obstruction.
Drivers should only park on the main road where it is safe to do so - making sure that they don't park opposite or within 10 metres of a junction, near a roundabout, or near a school entrance.
Double parking could prevent emergency vehicles from accessing where they need to get to. Please do not double park. Always consider if a fire engine, ambulance or a police van could fit through!
Those who are found to park dangerously will likely be given words of advice by a local officer, and those who are found parking illegally will expect to receive a fixed penalty notice/ a fine.
Neighbourhood officers will be monitoring this situation for the foreseeable
Thank you | ||||
