Can you help us?

We received a report of a burglary that occurred on Firbeck, Skelmersdale. We are asking everyone to check their cctv/ dashcam footage from 09/04/2025 2300 hours - 10/04/2025 01:00 hours. 

The suspects are 2 males, slim build, both approx 6ft tall, wearing black and dark clothing. They made off from Firbeck at approx 0054 hours on 10/4/2025 and ran towards Birch Green Road, going past Woodlands Primary School. 

We are asking everyone to check their cctv and dashcam footage from the date/ time above to see if they have footage of any suspicious males/ vehicles in the area. 

If you or a neighbour has footage that is relevant to this, please ring 101 and quote log number 'LC-20250410-0039’. This way the footage can be sent in to us. 

Alternatively, reply to this message to alert an officer that you or someone you know has footage and the officer will send a link so that footage can be uploaded to our system. An email or phone number will be needed for the link to be sent to. 

Officers will be in the area for reassurance and will be continuing with cctv enquiries.

·  Close and lock your doors and windows - even if you are just in the garden or briefly going out.

·  Hide all keys away from the letterbox and in a secure place. 

·  Draw the curtains when you go out, and leave valuable locked away

·  Keep an eye on your neighbour's property and encourage them to do the same for you

·  Register your valuables online with selectadna.co.uk 

We encourage those to invest in cctv and join a Neighbourhood Watch group as these are some good ways to stay vigilant and keep you and your neighbours safe (especially those who are most vulnerable).
