Police cadet recruitment

Good morning,

I have been asked to forward this message from Pendle police cadet coordinator John Kirk.

Are you or your young person aged 13 – 18 years old?

Do you want to help improve and support your community?

Good news, our advert for applications to be a Volunteer Police Cadet opens on Monday 31st March 2025 at 10am!

This Police Cadet opportunity allows you to develop your skillset and strengths through a structured programme to enhance relationships between local communities and the police.

As a Police Cadet, you will be able to take part in community events for a minimum of 3 hours per week, visit different police departments such as the Dog Section, Firearms Unit, Mounted Branch, Roads Policing Unit and Scenes of Crime Unit and gain an insight into the basic rules and laws of policing!

There are no entry requirements, we just ask that you have a positive attitude with the desire to help other people. If you’ve previously been in trouble with the police don’t worry, you’re still welcome to join.

We are holding a Volunteer Police Cadet Questions & Answers Session on Monday 31st March 2025, 6-7pm – if you wish to join please register via the link: Lancashire Police Cadets Q&A Session.

Please look out for this advert going live on Monday 31st March 2025 at 10am via the Lancashire Constabulary Webpage (Search Careers - Lancashire Constabulary) or Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and TikTok as the link to apply will be shared on there too. Please note those areas that become oversubscribed will close on Monday 14th April 2025.
