Over the next few weeks there will be increased parking and road safety operations occurring in the area due to repeat concerns around road related issues and parking

On Wednesday 5th March 2025 Burnley Neighbourhood Policing Team and officers from Lancashire County Council conducted a joint operation around Daneshouse with Stoneyholme where 19 tickets were issued for parking contravening the yellow road markings.

These operations are being conducted due to concerns raised to Lancashire County Council and through our Police messaging service In the Know. Further operations across Burnley North will be being conducted in the coming weeks. These include speed operations and joint parking enforcement operations.

Please take that little bit of extra time to consider whether the place you are parking your vehicle is suitable for yourself, pedestrians and other road users and ensure you are driving at the correct speeds when travelling through Burnley. Please pass this message on to any friends or family to make them aware also.
