Dear Residents,

Unfortunately, we have recently received a number of reports of a suspicious male trying car doors and interfering with one that they have gained access to.

To help safeguard your vehicle and deter car theft in the community, please can you take note of the following prevention advice:

1) Always make sure your car is locked and secure - Even when parked at home for short periods of time.

2) Remove valuables - Please avoid leaving valuables such as bags, electronics, purses etc on show. 

3) Add further security - Investing in steering locks, brake pedal locks and alarms will provide enhanced protection.

4) Park in well-lit, secure areas.

5) Invest in CCTV to cover your vehicle.

6) Report any suspicious activity to ourselves by calling 101 or 999 if it is an emergency.
