We understand there may be some concerns following a report made on Thursday, 13th February 2025, regarding a male seen walking around the grounds of St John’s CE Primary School on Church Avenue.

Police have since identified and spoken to the individual. He has been confirmed as a former pupil who states he visited the site out of nostalgia. While it is believed, there was no ill intent, he has been given advice on the potential concerns such visits may cause.

To reassure the community, officers will continue to patrol the area and remain available for any concerns. Thank you for your vigilance and cooperation.
