We have been made aware of a caller in various locations within St Annes who claims to be deaf and requesting cash donations. 

Please do not give cash to any person who attends your property in such circumstances, as it encourages this behaviour to continue. Any donations should be directed to registered charities.  

These callers will often visit the homes of the elderly and vulnerable who may find it difficult to say no to such requests. 

Please also look out for elderly neighbours and family members. 

Any suspicious activity can be reported to police on 101 or 999 if in an emergency and feeling threatened.
