👮🏼 #Bamberbridge - Due to ongoing issues with large groups of youths in the last 7 days we have authorised a S.34 Dispersal Order for areas in Bamber Bridge including the main shops on Station Road and the Leisure Centre and hub facility. Majority of the store workers will be in favour of this given the recent reports of anti-social behaviour in the key hotspots. 

 A Dispersal Order is where an officer in uniform can issue an order to someone to leave the locality for a certain period of time, in this case it has been issued until 2am. Any breaches are an offence and the person can be arrested for this.

We do not take these decisions lightly as we have to consider a lot of factors for this however in the last 7 days there has been increased groups of youths causing problems for members of public and local store workers and we want to prioritise the safety of our community.
