This week is Op Sceptre, a nationwide effort to reduce Knife crime. 

Here's a glimpse of what you can expect this week:

·  Weapon sweeps: We'll be conducting searches to rid our communities of dangerous weapons.

·  Knife arches: Will be deployed to be specific locations to detect and deter knife-related incidents.

·  Test purchasing: Collaborating with Trading Standards to crack down on the illegal sale of knives.

·  Stop and Search

·  High visibility patrols: To provide community reassurance with a proactive approach.

·  Knife surrender bins: Find your nearest one here.

·  Educational awareness sessions: Engaging with schools to educate young people.

Operation Sceptre is just one piece of the puzzle in our broader approach to reducing knife and violence crime in Lancashire. Each action you take this week brings us closer to achieving our goals and making our communities safer for everyone.
