I would like to make you aware of a couple of reports we have received over the last couple of weeks. There has been an influx in youths within the area of Elswick, Tanhouse and Eskbank, Tanhouse banging on people’s doors, this has been happening every night. 

Do you know where your children are playing, and do you know what they are getting up too?  

I want to stress that we will not tolerate this behaviour. If any person is identified as being one of these youths doing this sort of behaviour, there will be consequences, and we will be taking positive action. 

If this has happened to yourself, please report it to the police either on online or 101. If you have any CCTV footage which may help us identify these youths, please don’t hesitate to contact the police. 

If your child plays out, please can we ask you have a conversation with them about this behaviour.
