Over the last week Pendle’s Neighbourhood Policing Team have been working hard to tackle anti-social driving around the streets of Nelson, Brierfield and Barrowford, with attention being paid to the Padiham Bypass in particular.

As a result of this, we have:
• Issued x6 Section 59 warnings for anti-social driving,
• Seized x3 vehicles for having no insurance,
• Issued x3 tickets for various traffic offences
• Seized x2 vehicles found abandoned following them being involved in a pursuit
• Issued a Section 172 to the registered keeper of a vehicle which failed to stop
• Recovered x1 stolen vehicle

On Wednesday night Pendle Task Force were involved in a pursuit. The driver was detained and arrested for failing to stop, dangerous driving, drug driving and other driving offences. He has been released under investigation pending forensic results for the drug driving.
