You might have seen a large police presence in Chatburn on Friday morning 13th September and we wanted to give you an update.

Due to information from the public the Ribble Valley Rural Task Force supported by colleagues from the Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a warrant under the misuse of drugs act at an address on Ribblesdale View, Chatburn where we located a sophisticated cannabis cultivation and arrested a male.  It was a great result and goes a long way to disrupting criminality in our area which is only possible with the information you provide us. We want to assure you that this type of incident in extremely rare in the Ribble Valley but if you suspect something please let us know or alternatively contact Crime Stoppers. Whilst it isn't always immediately apparent each piece of information provided by you is vital.
