Today, officers from the Burnley Neighbourhood Policing team, the DVLA and Burnley Council have been in the area of Daneshouse with Stoneyholme addressing concerns raised by the local community, of vehicles being parked on the highway with no tax.

Concerns raised were around vehicles being left in situ for weeks without tax and residential streets becoming overcrowded with vehicles that are damaged or being used for ASB. With the assistance of the DVLA 15 vehicles were recovered, all with no tax. 

This operation will be conducted again in the near future. Please ensure that your vehicles have been correctly taxed if they are being parked on the road.
