Joint Parking Enforcement Operation

Yesterday, Lancashire Police officers from Burnley Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted a joint parking enforcement operation in partnership with Burnley Council and their Traffic Enforcement Officers on foot in the Daneshouse and Stoneyholme and on the Queensgate area.

Police officers and Traffic Enforcement Officers were on foot in the local area speaking to residents and issuing tickets to vehicles which were not abiding by the parking restrictions in place and / or causing obstructions to the highway.

As a result of information passed by local residents who expressed their concerns with a vehicle in the area, we have found the vehicle in question and searched it resulting in a machete being located within. The vehicle and machete have both been seized.
