  • Anyone can be affected by domestic abuse and it can happen in all types of relationships – couples, parents, grandparents or wider family members.
  • Domestic abuse isn’t just physical – it can be emotional, physical, sexual, financial or controlling behaviour.
  • Some of the signs of domestic abuse, such as physical marks, may be easy to identify. Others may be things you can easily explain away or overlook. By knowing the signs of domestic abuse, you could help a friend, colleague or family member
  • If you’re worried about someone or you think that a person may be experiencing domestic abuse, you can report it online via the Lancashire Constabulary website or by calling 101 or, if someone is at risk of immediate harm, dial 999.
